I-695 (Maryland)

Baltimore Beltway

I-695, also known as the Baltimore Beltway, is the major circumferential road around Baltimore. It is nearly 50 miles long and traverses through many of the Baltimore area's largest surburbs, such as Pikesville, Towson, Dundalk, Glen Burnie, and Catonsville.

In March 2024, the Francis Scott Key bridge (the major crossing over the Patapsco River/Baltimore Harbor carrying I-695) collapsed after being struck by the MV Dali. Plans are underway to build a new Key Bridge by 2028.
