The Francis Scott Key Bridge was so much more than a bridge - it was an emblem and a shining beacon that represented the city of Baltimore and the state of Maryland. The Key Bridge was the first large bridge I ever drove across. I remember seeing the views of the bridge from I-95 and I-895 all the time growing up. It's always been a part of my life and to see it gone so suddenly is unbelievable.
May the people who lost their lives on the bridge when it collapsed always be remembered.
