Rhode Island 165 (Ten Rod Road) runs between Connecticut and RI 3 in a forested part of Washington County.

Eastbound

Photographed in its entirety

Heading eastbound towards RI 3 from Connecticut, we enter Rhode Island over Beach Pond, where we see the Rhode Island welcome sign. Immediately after passing over the pond, we get our first reassurance marker.

From here, it's a pretty drive with few crossroads. RI 165 doesn't intersect any other numbered routes until its terminus. A few reassurance markers pop up here and there, but only after minor intersections. The next marker is immediately before Mount Tom Road; the other one is immediately after Mount Tom Road.

Two more reassurance markers exist heading eastbound: one immediately past RI 165's junction with Frosty Hollow Road/Summit Road, and the other immediately past Arcadia Road.

No end sign for RI 165 as we approach RI 3. We do get a nice JCT assembly with guides to both northbound and southbound I-95.

If you go straight at the above intersection, the road connects to RI 102, where it picks up the Ten Rod Road name just after New London Turnpike.
