I-70 in Maryland

I-70 is the primary west-east interstate highway in Maryland. Its eastern terminus is at I-695 in Baltimore; it continues westward connecting Baltimore to Frederick and Hagerstown via the old U.S. 40 corridor. Part of I-70 has been renumbered to MD 570 within the Baltimore Beltway, despite being signed as I-70 still. I-70 continues into Pennsylvania where it connects with the Pennsylvania Turnpike and points westward.
