US 11 begins in Louisiana at an intersection with US 90 before continuing north through sparsely populated Irish Bayou. It continues across Lake Pontchartrain to Slidell, where it traverses through the city's old town. US 11 then continues northward to Pearl River, where it joins I-59 until it crosses into Mississippi.
