LA 3081 Spur is an extremely short route in Pearl River that follows an old alignment of US 11. This road, at varying times, has carried LA 2, US 90, US 11, LA 3081, and now LA 3081 Spur. LA 3081 Spur was created in 2007 following the decommissioning of LA 41 Spur and the re-routing of LA 3081.
LA 3081 Spur starts at an intersection of LA 3081 and the former LA 47 Spur in Pearl River. As you turn onto LA 3081 Spur, every possible sign tells you that it's a dead end - no LA 3081 signs anywhere. In fact, only the assemblies on the surrounding streets indicate that this is LA 3081 Spur. This wasn't always the case - until around 2020 there was a reassurance marker past the LA 3081 turn, but that's been gone since then.
And that's it! The road is just a little over 1500ft (480m) long. Why it was ever designated as a numbered route in 2007 (or in the 60's, when the bridge that used to be ahead was closed) is beyond me, but I guess LADOTD liked this road for...some reason.
Southbound LA 3081 Spur begins at the dead end where the old West Pearl River bridge was demolished. There is no marker indicating that LA 3081 Spur begins along the southbound route. We see a few assemblies indicating that LA 3081 is ahead and that I-59 can be reached by continuing on LA 3081 eastbound.
LA 3081 Spur ends at the intersection above - continuing straight or turning left will take you onto LA 3081.
